Face Challenges, Build Resilience, and Lead Your Life with Purpose
Life doesn't come with a playbook, but it does come with challenges. Whether you're navigating friendships, academics, athletics, leadership roles, family expectations, anxiety about the future, or setbacks that seem impossible in the moment, Go To Your Storm offers a practical framework for building resilience, confidence, and personal leadership.
Written by educator, coach, and leadership expert Ted Neitzke, this engaging and story-driven book introduces three powerful principles that help young people develop the mindset and habits needed to thrive:
Live Like a Buffalo

Learn why buffalo run toward storms instead of away from them and how facing challenges directly can build confidence, courage, and resilience.
Adopt the Zero-Zero Mindset

Discover a powerful approach to overcoming setbacks, staying humble during success, and resetting each day with a fresh perspective.
Fix It

Develop the habits, attitudes, and self-awareness needed to take ownership of problems, learn from mistakes, and create positive change in your life and relationships.

Why Readers Connect With This Book
Unlike traditional leadership books, Go To Your Storm speaks directly to young people through relatable stories, humor, athletics, education, and life experiences. The book recognizes the real pressures teens and young adults face while providing practical ways to respond with confidence, optimism, and purpose.
Whether you're standing at the beginning of high school, preparing for college, or learning to lead yourself through life's challenges, this book will help you face your storms instead of running from them.
Because growth doesn't happen by avoiding challenges, it happens when you choose to go through them.

“When things get tough, human instinct says ‘hide.’ But what if the ultimate cheat code for leadership is charging straight into the mess? This highly visual, no-BS book relies on a brutal reality of nature: when a storm rolls in, cows run away, getting stuck in the misery longer. Buffalo? They drop their heads and charge directly into the weather, pushing through the pain to hit clear skies faster. Let’s be honest—many leadership books are dense, boring theories written by late-career executives for late-career executives. Go to Your Storm flips the script. It’s the dynamic, practical playbook that young, emerging leaders have been waiting for. Whether you’re running a startup, leading a school, or managing your first corporate team, this book is the pocket mentorship you need to stop dodging the friction. Don’t be a cow. It’s time to face the chaos and go to your storm.”
—URS KOENIG, former UN peacekeeper and author of Radical Humility: Be a Badass Leader and a Good Human
“Children are not mini-adults: they don’t yet have the knowledge, experience, or hard-won lessons that guide most of us through life. Ted’s book is a powerful reminder that many of the life skills we take for granted - including leadership - must be taught, supported, and practiced. It offers young people a thoughtful roadmap for taking ownership of themselves and helping others along the way. This is a wonderful book - one I look forward to sharing with my own daughter.”
