This website is operated by CESA 6. Throughout the site, the terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to CESA 6. CESA 6 offers this website, including all information, tools, and services available from this site to you, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies, and notices stated here.

By visiting our site and/or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service,” “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including, without limitation, users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/or contributors of content.

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, you may not access the website or use any services. If these Terms of Service are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms of Service.

We reserve the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and/or changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the website after posting any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides us with an online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Cancellations for Events

  • Participant Cancellations: Cancellations must be submitted in writing by emailing info@cesa6.org. Registrants who cancel at least 14 calendar days prior to the event start date are eligible for a full refund, minus any non-refundable service or material fees. Cancellations received 7 to 13 calendar days before the event will be eligible for a 50% refund. No refunds will be provided for cancellations made within 7 calendar days of the event. Participants who do not attend without prior notice ("no call, no show") will be charged the full event fee.
  • Event Changes or Cancellations by CESA 6: CESA 6 reserves the right to change or cancel an event due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to low enrollment, presenter availability, or other factors beyond our control. Participants will be notified promptly via email and offered either a full refund or a credit toward a future event.
  • Registration Transfers: Registrations may be transferred to another individual from the same organization at no additional cost. Please contact us at least 48 hours before the event start date to request a transfer.

Cancellations and Returns for Online Store Purchases

  • Order Cancellations: If you need to cancel an order, please contact us at info@cesa6.org within 24 hours of placing your order. After 24 hours, cancellations may not be possible if the order has already been processed or shipped.
  • Returns and Refunds: If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return items within 30 days of the original purchase date. Returned items must be in unused and original condition with all packaging and items intact. Digital products, online courses, custom orders, or final sale items are not eligible for return. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is damaged upon receipt. Contact shop@cesa6.org to initiate a return.

Online Courses

  • Completion Requirements: Online courses must be completed within the timeframe specified in the course description. Failure to complete the course within this period may result in loss of access without a refund. Extensions may be granted at the discretion of CESA 6 and must be requested in writing.
  • Access and Technical Requirements: Access to online courses requires a compatible device and a stable internet connection. Participants are responsible for ensuring they meet these technical requirements. CESA 6 is not liable for technical issues beyond its control.

Inclement Weather for Events

  • Cancellation: In the event of severe weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances, CESA 6 may need to cancel or reschedule events, whether held in person at our agency location, other designated venues, or virtually. As a general rule of thumb, if the school district in which the in-person event is being held closes due to weather, the event will typically be canceled; however, this is not guaranteed.
  • Notification: We will make every effort to promptly notify participants via email of any changes or cancellations. Updates will also be posted on our website and shared through our social media channels. We encourage participants to monitor these platforms for the latest information. For specific questions or further assistance, please get in touch with us directly at info@cesa6.org.

Photo/Media Release for Events

By registering for a CESA 6 event, you consent to be photographed and/or recorded by CESA 6 and its representatives. Media may be used in print, digital, and promotional materials, including websites and social media, without compensation. These materials become the property of CESA 6, and you waive any rights to inspect or approve their use. If you prefer to opt-out, please notify info@cesa6.org before the event.

Food-Borne Illness Disclaimer and Dietary Requests for Events

CESA 6 makes every effort to accommodate basic dietary needs, such as vegetarian, gluten-free, and basic allergies. However, due to the number of meals served and potential vendor changes, we cannot guarantee allergen-free meals. Guests with dietary concerns should contact info@cesa6.org at least two weeks in advance. CESA 6 disclaims liability for adverse food reactions.

General Liability

Participation in CESA 6 events, whether in person or virtually, and use of our products and services, including online courses, is at your own risk. CESA 6 is not liable for injury, loss, or damage incurred during event participation, course engagement, or from product use, including issues with virtual session technology or product defects beyond our control.

Virtual Meeting Recording for Events

Virtual events may be recorded for training, documentation, or other specified purposes. Participants will be informed at the start of any recording, and recordings are stored securely per CESA 6’s data retention policies. You may opt-out by notifying the organizer. By participating, you consent to these terms.

Marketing Communications Consent

By registering for a CESA 6 event, purchasing from our online store, or enrolling in an online course, you consent to receive communications about future CESA 6 events, services, and related content. You may opt out at any time by following unsubscribe instructions in communications or contacting us directly. For more details, please review our Privacy Policy.

Data Privacy and Security

CESA 6 takes data privacy seriously and adheres to all applicable laws and regulations for data protection. By providing your personal information, you consent to its use as described in our Privacy Policy. Code of Conduct for Events and Online Engagement

By attending a CESA 6 event or engaging in an online course, you agree to behave professionally and respectfully toward all participants, presenters, and staff. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in removal without a refund.

Intellectual Property

Materials provided during CESA 6 events, online courses, or products sold through our online store, including but not limited to presentations, documents, and digital products, are the intellectual property of CESA 6 or its partners. Reproduction, distribution, or unauthorized use of these materials without prior permission is prohibited.

Accessibility and Special Accommodations for Events

CESA 6 strives to accommodate participants with disabilities. Please inform us of any accessibility needs by contacting info@cesa6.org at least two weeks before the event.

Event and Product Disruptions Due to Unforeseen Circumstances

CESA 6 is not liable for delays, disruptions, or cancellations due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to acts of nature, governmental restrictions, or public health crises.

Waiver of Liability for Personal Property

CESA 6 is not responsible for personal property loss, theft, or damage during events or as a result of using products purchased through our online store.

Event, Product, and Course Modifications

CESA 6 reserves the right to modify the agenda, speakers, and content of events, change product offerings in our online store, and update the content, requirements, or access policies for online courses as necessary.

Termination

For all purposes, the parties' obligations and liabilities incurred prior to the termination date shall survive the termination of this agreement.
These Terms of Service are effective unless and until you or we terminate them. You may terminate these Terms of Service at any time by notifying us that you no longer wish to use our Services or when you cease using our site.
If, in our sole judgment, you fail, or we suspect that you have failed, to comply with any term or provision of these Terms of Service, we may terminate this agreement at any time without notice, and you will remain liable for all amounts due up to and including the date of termination; and/or accordingly may deny you access to our Services (or any part thereof).

Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Service is determined to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms of Service, such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CESA 6 and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, Service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns, and employees from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms of Service or the documents they incorporate by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.

Disclaimer of Warranties; Limitation of Liability

We do not guarantee, represent, or warrant that your use of our Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We do not warrant that the results that may be obtained from the use of the Service will be accurate or reliable. You agree that we may temporarily remove or cancel the Service at any time without notice to you.
You expressly agree that your use of, or inability to use, the Service is at your sole risk.
