Develop proactive, data-driven approaches to challenging behavior with this Wisconsin-aligned, self-paced course designed for educators, school psychologists, administrators, special education staff, and student support teams. Grounded in Wisconsin DPI guidance and best practices, participants will strengthen their ability to conduct high-quality Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and develop effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Through practical examples and real-world school situations, learners will explore how to identify the function of behavior, gather meaningful data, collaborate with stakeholders, and create student-centered plans that teach replacement skills and improve outcomes.

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

• Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) using meaningful data to identify the function of student behavior.
• Develop proactive, evidence-based Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) that address identified needs and teach replacement skills.
• Apply legal, culturally responsive, and student-centered practices when developing and implementing behavior supports.
• Collaborate with school teams and stakeholders to implement, monitor, and strengthen behavioral interventions.
