This Blending Lines for 5K resource supports students with the important phoneme-grapheme work necessary to develop skilled readers. Blending Lines encourages students to look closely at the letters in a word due to each work containing a minimal change. This resource includes blending lines and small group lessons. It can be used on its own for students in your classroom or as part of a phonics lesson, for both decoding and encoding practice. In addition to the small group lessons, a phonics template is provided for teachers to write their own lessons. 

The Blending Lines for 5K downloadable PDF resource is based on the phonics scope and sequence created by Wiley Blevins. This scope and sequence match many other phonics scopes and sequences with minor differences.
