Special Education Structured Literacy Academy for Grades K-5

The Power of Literacy: Ensuring Access for Every Young Reader

With the right instruction and support, all students can learn to read and write. This two-year academy will equip participants with assessments, instructional routines, and tools aligned with the latest research around the Science of Reading and writing, to develop specific Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals, provide instruction, and monitor progress.

Details

Year 1: Reading Focus

• Two half-day leader sessions at CESA 6, Oshkosh
• Four full-day, whole-team learning sessions at CESA 6, Oshkosh
• Three one-hour virtual coaching sessions per district

Year 2: Writing Focus

• Two half-day leader sessions at CESA 6, Oshkosh
• Four full-day, whole-team learning sessions at CESA 6, Oshkosh
• Three one-hour virtual coaching sessions per district

Year 1 (Reading Focus) Dates

Leader-only, half-day sessions:

• September 4, 2025
• December 9, 2025

Times:  8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Full team, full-day learning sessions:

• October 14, 2025
• November 25, 2025
• February 10, 2026
• April 30, 2026

Times:  8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Cost:

• CESA 6 Districts
  • $9,495 per team (3-5 team members) per year
  • $10,175 per team (6-9 team members) per year

• Non-CESA 6 Districts
  • $10,995 per team (3-5 team members) per year
  • $11,675 per team (6-9 team members) per year

WORKSHOP CANCELLATIONS

Participant Cancellations: Cancellations must be submitted in writing by emailing info@cesa6.org. Registrants who cancel at least 14 calendar days prior to the event start date are eligible for a full refund, minus any non-refundable service or material fees. Cancellations received 7 to 13 calendar days before the event will be eligible for a 50% refund. No refunds will be provided for cancellations made within 7 calendar days of the event. Participants who do not attend without prior notice ("no call, no show") will be charged the full event fee.

Event Changes or Cancellations by CESA 6: CESA 6 reserves the right to change or cancel an event due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to low enrollment, presenter availability, or other factors beyond our control. Participants will be notified promptly via email and offered either a full refund or a credit toward a future event.

Registration Transfers: Registrations may be transferred to another individual from the same organization at no additional cost. Please contact us at least 48 hours before the event start date to request a transfer.
