These full-day workshops are designed to empower educators with the critical skills needed to effectively support diverse learners. The sessions will cover essential topics, including identifying students for Alternate Assessment, implementing equitable instructional practices, and utilizing data to inform teaching strategies. Participants will gain practical insights into writing effective IEPs, interpreting DLM Score Reports, and using the DLM Instruction and Assessment Planner to enhance their classroom practices. Additionally, educators will explore the foundational beliefs that influence their teaching and will have the opportunity to collaborate with peers in a Community of Practice, fostering professional growth and shared learning.

  • Understanding basic beliefs and dispositions 

  • Identifying which students should take the Alternate Assessment

  • Incorporating equitable best practices for instruction, accommodations and differentiation

  • Understand the use of data to inform your instruction 

  • Identify helpful hints for IEP writing

  • Learn how to interpret DLM Score Reports

  • Use the DLM’s Instruction and Assessment Planner to guide your practices

  • Participate in a Community of Practice to share and collaborate with other professionals across the state.

 

Target Audience 

Teams to include Special Education Teachers and 1 or more of the following:

  • General Education Teacher

  • Instructional Coach

  • Principal

  • District Assessment Coordinator

  • Director of Curriculum and Instruction

  • Director of Special Education or Pupil Services

Cancellations for Events

Participant Cancellations: Cancellations must be submitted in writing by emailing info@cesa6.org. Registrants who cancel at least 14 calendar days prior to the event start date are eligible for a full refund, minus any non-refundable service or material fees. Cancellations received 7 to 13 calendar days before the event will be eligible for a 50% refund. No refunds will be provided for cancellations made within 7 calendar days of the event. Participants who do not attend without prior notice ("no call, no show") will be charged the full event fee.

 

Event Changes or Cancellations by CESA 6: CESA 6 reserves the right to change or cancel an event due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to low enrollment, presenter availability, or other factors beyond our control. Participants will be notified promptly via email and offered either a full refund or a credit toward a future event.

 

Registration Transfers: Registrations may be transferred to another individual from the same organization at no additional cost. Please contact us at least 48 hours before the event start date to request a transfer.
