All paraprofessionals working in a school using a schoolwide Title I program must meet the Title I Paraprofessional Hiring Requirements.  Title I Paraprofessionals working in a Title I school using a targeted support program must also meet these requirements.  

These important staff members are asked to perform many tasks as they work with students, teachers, administrators and parents every day.  This workshop is designed to provide guided support for any paraprofessional that does not meet the hiring requirements through the education/credit option.  The Master Teacher Paraeducator PD Now! offers a 13 module course.  The online coursework can be intimidating, so this workshop allows participants to begin the work in a supportive setting. 

  

OBJECTIVES:

  • Explore the paraprofessional role of providing instructional supports for students in reading, writing and math

  • Increase knowledge and skills in the areas of reading, writing and math

  • Begin the Master Teacher ParaEducator PD Now! modules (completion of the modules and assessments with a passing score will meet the Title I hiring requirements for  paraprofessionals)

Cancellations for Events

Participant Cancellations: Cancellations must be submitted in writing by emailing info@cesa6.org. Registrants who cancel at least 14 calendar days prior to the event start date are eligible for a full refund, minus any non-refundable service or material fees. Cancellations received 7 to 13 calendar days before the event will be eligible for a 50% refund. No refunds will be provided for cancellations made within 7 calendar days of the event. Participants who do not attend without prior notice ("no call, no show") will be charged the full event fee.

 

Event Changes or Cancellations by CESA 6: CESA 6 reserves the right to change or cancel an event due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to low enrollment, presenter availability, or other factors beyond our control. Participants will be notified promptly via email and offered either a full refund or a credit toward a future event.

 

Registration Transfers: Registrations may be transferred to another individual from the same organization at no additional cost. Please contact us at least 48 hours before the event start date to request a transfer.
