Creating Individualized Learning Plans (ILPS) for English Learners

The ILP is a written plan for an EL that details goals along with accommodations and supports to be implemented in the classroom and on assessments. This plan, outlined in the DPI EL Policy Handbook, is to be implemented by districts to meet the individual needs of each EL. It is recommended to create the ILP as a collaborative effort by the EL teacher and classroom teachers.
Outcomes
- The goal of this workshop is to familiarize you with the newest ILP described in the DPI EL Policy Handbook and provide you the information and resources to write them.
- The afternoon will be dedicated to reviewing ACCESS data and creating ILPs that capture the linguistic support for your ELs.
Who Should Attend?
- Anyone who will be responsible for creating, introducing and/or implementing ILPs.
- Teaching teams are encouraged to attend.
